Global computing giant, Lenovo has unveiled world’s first laptop with Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 MCP (Mobile Compute Platform) which is claimed to deliver significant performance over first generation ARM based Windows laptops. The Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS laptop was unveiled at the ongoing IFA 2018 trade show. With this, the company has shown the ray to other competitors to bring a similar or an upgraded version of this laptop for the consumers. Though, the laptop runs on Windows 10 and supports standard windows softwares, it has been touted to give a better experience to the consumers.
The device offers a 25 hour battery life with instant wake up from Standby Mode. Since the device was announced at IFA 2018, the laptop is informed to be priced €999 (Approx. Rs. 80,000) and will be available in Europe from November while there is no confirmation on India availability.
The Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS sports 13.3-inch Full-HD IPS touchscreen display with an option to use a stylus called Lenovo Pen which uses Window Ink feature to write on the screen. As far as the thickness of the laptop is concerned, the Lenovo’s first Snapdragon 850 MCP laptop is 12.5mm thin and weighs 1.2kg. The Laptop is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Kryo 385 customised for laptops delivering performance at 2.96GHz speed. The laptop will give 2 variants when it comes to RAM viz; 4GB/8GB RAM, and provides 128GB/256GB UFS 2.1 storage.
Lenovo Yoga C630 features 4G compatible SIM card slot, 2 USB Type C port, with USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort video output, GPS, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5 and Stereo speakers. The Snapdragon X20 LTE-A modem integrated in the laptop is capable of delivering 1.2gbps download speed while 150mbps upload speed. As for the graphic processing, the laptop packs Adreno 630 GPU for better graphic quality on the screen. Sensors and artificial intelligence technology have also been integrated in the laptop for better user experience.
